Who we are
Bashbhaban is a property marketplace operating in Bangladesh. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it.
What we collect and why

NID identity verification
- Posting a listing requires your phone number to be verified by SMS and your NID photo to be approved by our staff.
- We store only photos. We never save your NID number.
- Photos are stored privately and securely, are visible only to authorised staff, and are never shown on the marketplace.
- Each review is recorded (who and when) for audit.
- Files are automatically deleted 180 days after review.
- We cannot cross-check a NID against the Election Commission database; verification is done by staff reviewing the submitted photos.
Legal basis
We process personal data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in running a trusted marketplace and preventing fraud.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. Your listing's contact details are shown to signed-in users so they can contact you. NID photos are never shared.
Your rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@bashbhaban.com. You may also withdraw consent for NID verification, in which case you will not be able to post listings.
